Lakers 102, Celtics 89
by Josh Dhani on June 3, 2010
The Los Angeles Lakers played a fantastic game during Game One of the 2010 NBA Finals against the Boston Celtics.
They destroyed Boston, 102-89. Kobe Bryant was simply unstoppable and couldn’t be guarded, even being double-teamed, when at the post.
Pau Gasol showed what he can really do and is playing a lot differently than what he did in the 2008 NBA Finals. Gasol had 23 points and 14 rebounds that night.
Kobe Bryant delivered with 30 points, seven rebounds, and six assists. Ron Artest was vital in this game, playing strong defense and also bringing in 15 points.
The Lakers got a lot of points off turnovers and fast breaks and was just taking advantage at every angle in the game.
Paul Pierce scored 24 points, nine rebounds, and four assists for the Celtics. It was not a well-played game by the Celtics.
Game Two will be on Sunday night.
Can the Celtics tie things up? [Discsuss this in our forums]
